오차원은 성씨 오(吳), 차나무 차(茶), 동산 원(園)자를 합쳐 만든 이름입니다. 

산업디자인과 조소를 전공하고 전시디자인을 하다가 어느날 문득 꽃을 접하게 되었습니다. 

부쩍 지치던 일상에서 혼자 조용히 꽃을 만지며 차를 마시는 시간을 통해 큰 위안을 받았습니다.  

그 때의 고요함과 생동감을 함께 나누고 싶다는 생각으로 2016년 오차원을 시작하게되었습니다.

절화, 절지, 절엽, 열매와 때로는 분화와 목본류를 다루며,

도시의 곳곳에 숨어있는 야생적인 풍경에 매혹 되었던 순간과 감정을 담아내고자 합니다. 

계절의 변화를 소중히 하며 재료를 고르고, 생태계의 모습에 대해서 고민합니다. 

대상을 자세히 살펴보고 독특한 디테일을 찾아낸 다음, 그것을 보여주려 노력합니다. 

그 디테일은 곡선, 특별한 색상, 질감, 크기, 어떤 것이든 될 수있습니다. 

자연을 관찰하고 기억 혹은 상상을 불러일으키는 장면을 만드는 것은 

오차원이 창의성을 발휘하는 방식이자, 꽃과 세상을 연결하는 방법입니다.

사랑과 위로, 기쁨과 슬픔—꽃은 감정을 함께 나누는 언어가 됩니다.
